For Donuts:
1 package Iowa Choice Harvest Golden Sweet Corn
3 C flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ cup melted butter
½ cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup buttermilk
3 eggs
2 C sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
For Frosting:
2 C powdered sugar
½ stick butter-softened
1 tsp vanilla
3 – 4 tbsp milk
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Coat doughnut pan with non-stick cooking spray
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt in medium bowl and set aside
- Combine melted butter, oil, buttermilk, eggs, sugar, apple sauce, and vanilla in large bowl. Add dry ingredients and stir to combine.
- Fill donut pans and bake 15 – 18 minutes
- Remove from pan and cool
- Cream frosting ingredients together in medium bowl. Apply frosting after donuts have completely cooled
